The 2010 Keiki Paddle on August 1st
was a huge success!
Our Jr. Advisory Group, consisting of experienced Friendship Paddle paddlers, Chase and Lindsey McFadden, Tavis Boise and Tucker Ingalls, put together a great route and picked 2 beneficiaries along with a non-profit to be the beneficiaries.
We had early morning glass under grey skies. Dolphin escorted the boats up to Campus Point where 120 paddlers began the journey back to Ledbetter Point. 9 miles were covered in 3 hours of paddling.
Greeting the paddlers on the beach was Edwin, Sonya and The Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation along with hundreds of supporters. Before the landing Bill Petrini sprayed the flotilla with the Harbor Patrol fire boat while sirens blared. What a great finish to an uplifting paddle!
