Owen Miller · Keiki Paddle 2019

Owen Miller

Owen Miller is a kind and rambunctious 5 year old who enjoys spending time at the beach with his family and playing t-ball in his free time. All of that however, has been put on hold since October of 2018, when Owen was diagnosed with a bilateral Wilms Tumor which took his right kidney and part of his left. Owen’s last half year has been spent in doctors offices and hospital rooms, where he has undergone radiation, and 15 treatments of chemotherapy. He will finish his last two infusions in May. Owen’s fight has not been easy for him, nor his family, who have had to change much of their lifestyle this past year. Owen has a very supportive and loving family. Lesley (mom), and Jonathan (dad) both attended Westmont College. Jonathan is a seven year cancer survivor and practicing attorney, while Lesley cares for the kids and works part time as a faith and family based writer. Owen’s siblings, Anna (7) and Luke (3), are talkative kids who are learning to swim and surf this summer. The family is very excited to be outdoors and apart of our ocean oriented family this summer!
