Thanks for putting on this event. It's so good to have a place where kids can actually make a difference in other people's lives and feel like they are making the world a better place.

I just wanted you to know how much yesterday meant to me. I saw in my children a commitment to something bigger than themselves that I haven't recognized before - I saw them voluntarily step up, put themselves in a challenging situation, willingly give up their comfort zone (and a day of great surf) to be a part of a community - not just for Wyatt, but for the Friendship Community and all it stands for. I see that my kids trust you - they know if you ask them to do something it will be hard, worthwhile, gratifying, (sort of) safe, and fun. It sure makes me proud...plus, I had a really, really great time.

I am at a loss for words! That is absolutely AMAZING! You guys and the kids are going to have such an amazing impact on Edwin and Sonya’s families. I can not even begin to tell you what a real difference you are making. No joke…it brings tears to my eyes and a HUGE smile to my face.

I just wanted to thank you so much for yesterday, I am still a little bit in shock. You guys are just amazing. We have just been praying and praying that God would provide a way for us to overcome the debt that's been mounting against us, and you were the answer to our faithful prayers. Your organization is inspiring, and we are blessed and honored to be a part of it. I fully intend to stay involved in such a worthy cause and our children very much look forward to participating next year, especially Sonya.

Children between the ages of 7 and 16 participate in an open ocean paddle event to provide financial and emotional support to both a child with a life-threatening illness and a non-profit organization that supports children in Santa Barbara County.
